Keeli James holds a Bachelor of Arts from DBU specializing in Music Education and is State and Board Certified for All-Level Music. With over 15 years of experience teaching and training students and adults of all ages, she has had the privilege of working in both public and private institutions in the disciplines of Voice, Acting, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Ballroom, and Musical Theatre Choreography. She was nominated by her colleagues for Teacher of The Year in Rockwall ISD both years she taught in the district 2011-12 and 2012-2013.
She has owned a children's Princess Entertainment business for ten years and continues to immerse her employees as well as her students in philanthropic endeavors by partnering with Children's Medical Center Plano, A Bow and A Blessing, and the Children's Cancer Fund organization.
She was the recipient of a scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, and has also performed at Carnegie Hall. She has performed professionally in principal and supporting roles in Regional and Community Theatre Companies.
Keeli has performed throughout the DFW Metroplex, such as Dallas Children's Theater, Lyric Stage, Garland Summer Musicals, Rockwall Summer Musicals, and has been a featured soloist in concert with Pfamily Arts and The Plano Symphony Orchestra. Some of her favorite roles include Anna in The King & I, Laurie in Oklahoma, Grace in Annie, & the Baroness in The Sound of Music.
Besides teaching Voice, Vocal Technique, and Broadway Tap at Park Cities Studios, she currently also holds a large private studio for Voice and Acting at her home and at five Rockwall ISD Secondary Campuses. Keeli is an Actor's Equity Association membership candidate and loves instilling her love and passion for musical theatre in her students. She is so grateful for the support and love of her husband Blake and their four amazing children.
